C BEIJING - China's Beijing and Shanghai cities and Guangdong Province on Sunday published plans to gradually allow migrant workers' （外来务工人员） children to enter senior high schools and sit college entrance exams locally. The province will allow these children to sit gaokao and compete with local residents on an equal feeting in college entrance starting in 2016, Luo said the restrictions would be relaxed gradually and "step by step" as the province must solve the conflict between its gigantic migrant population and a scarcity of education resources. Migrant workers, whose children could be benefited by the new plans of the three regions, must have residential permits, stable jobs and incomes, and meet other local requirements, according to the plans. D Police investigating Greece‘s worst murder case in recent years have said they believe a lone gunman killed the five hunters shot dead in Kalyvia, north-west Athens. The five victims, all from the same family, were each shot twice, once from a distance then by a second shot from close range. The bodies were found on Saturday after one of the hunters raised the alarm by calling his father from a mobile phone but was cut off. The father then searched the local woodland and found the victims, two brothers and three male cousins with their shotguns at their side. A police team at the scene said cartridges (弹壳) found were all from the same gun, indicating a single gunman. It appeared the hunters had managed to return fire. Police believe they may have wounded their killer as a blood sample was found that did not match any of the victims. The murders have shocked the rural farming community and locals have rejected suggestions that the killings were out of revenge. Authorities are said to be examining the weapons of local hunters, farmers and shepherds. They are also checking hospitals in the area for anyone admitted with gunshot wounds. One relative, Fanis Vlachos, told AFP news agency, ―We are almost certain that the boys saw something important, something illegal, and that is why the murderer silenced them forever. The killings are unusual in Greece which has low levels of violent crime in Europe. 68. The gunman killed the five people _____. Not necessarily. In a study described in The Journal of experimental Psychology, a group of people with end-stage kidney（肾） failure were provided with electronic devices that required them to record their moods at various times throughout the day. For comparison, a group of healthy volunteers used the same devices. When researchers had studied the results, they found that the levels of happiness were about the same for the two groups. The researchers, led by Dr. Jason Riis of Princeton when he was a graduate student at the University of Michigan, also found that the healthy people greatly overestimated （高估） how unhappy the sick ones would be. And the sick people overestimated how happy healthy ones would be. For the study, 49 kidney disease patients who were undergoing dialysis（透析）sections three times a week were given personal digital assistants, as 49 healthy volunteers were matched to the patie nts by age, race, education and sex. When the devices beeped, the subjects were asked to rate their mood on a 5-point scale, with 2 defined as ―very pleasant‖ and minus 2 defined as ―very unpleasant‖. On average, the kidney patients rated their mood as 0.70, while the healthy subjects rated it as 0.83. The participants were also asked to describe other emotions they might be feeling, including joy and anxiety, and to describe their levels of physical comfort. And sometimes they were asked, ―How do you feel about your life as a whole?‖ A better understanding of how well people are able to adapt to poor health, the researchers said, could help doctors and patients make wiser choices about their medical care. Earlier studies have also found that seriously ill patients described themselves as being happy. But these patients were not given a chance to answer questions about their mood privately and repeatedly over a period of time, Dr. Riis said, and so it was unclear how accurate their responses were. 72. What can be learnt from the study? A. the electronic devices used are digital assistants for dialysis B. the levels of happiness are little affected by health conditions C. all the subjects are of the same age, race, sex and education D. both patients and healthy people overestimate their own happiness 73. The research was done in order to______. It will provide more chances for you to enjoy food and try on clothes that you otherwise cannot possible have. A famous English author Francis Bacon (1561-1626) makes a point when he says that, ―Travel, in the younger sort, is a part of education; in the elder, a part of experience.‖ Evidence of leisure travel can be traced (追溯) as far back as ancient Babylon. __2__ This year, according to the World Travel & Tourism Council, the 1 billionth tourist will cross an international boundary before the end of this month. That means that one in seven people on the planet traveled this year, something that would not have been possible a few decades ago. Around 20 years ago only the rich could travel. While the US and France remain the two largest destinations for world travel, experts say much of the explosive growth in tourism has been to countries like Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and the Ivory Coast, which weren‘t even on the world tourism map a decade ago. The top five destinations in the world, according to the United Nations World Tourism Organization, are Paris, London, New York, the Mediterranean, Turkey. Several factors have led to the boom in world travel. The prosperity (富裕) of people in Asia is one factor. People in Asian developing countries have lifted their incomes above middle-class levels in the past few years. And a lot of them have used their new wealth to travel. It aroused heated debate about young students' health. Some students think that schools should not give up long-distance running because it can build up our bodies, keep us away from illness and relax our brain. We can learn better after exercise. More importantly, it helps develop a strong will and endurance. But others hold opposite opinions. They believe that long-distance running is not good for us. It makes us tired and excited so that we can't calm down to study after exercise and we may get hurt in it. Besides, long-distance running is a big challenge to our physical conditions. For my part, it is unwise to call off long-distance races. So long as we are careful enough, the races can do us nothing but good.
