第三部分 阅读理解（共三节，满分35分） 第一节 阅读理解（共12小题；每小题2分，满分24分）
阅读下面短文，从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中，选出最佳选项，并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。 A Your body, which had close relations with the food you eat, is the most important thing you own, so it needs proper treatment and proper nourishment. The old saying "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" is not as silly as some people think. The body needs fruit and vegetables because they contain vitamin C. Many people take extra vitamins in pill form, believing that these will make them healthy. But a good diet is made up of nourishing(营养的) food and this gives all the vitamins you need. The body doesn't need or use extra vitamins, so why waste money on them? In the modern western world, many people are too busy to bother about eating properly. They throw anything
into their stomachs, eating hurriedly and carelessly. The list of illnesses caused or made worse by bad eating habits is frightening. 41. “Your body has close relations with the food you eat” really means that______. A. all kinds of food you eat can be made into your body B. your body is made up of the food you eat C. what you eat has great effect on your health D. the more you eat, the fitter you will feel 42. The old saying referred to in the passage tells us that ________. A. the apple is the best among all kinds of fruits C. eating apples regularly does lots of good to our health B. apples can take the place of doctors D. an apple is a sure cure for illness
43. In the second paragraph, the writer tries to let us know________. A. our bodies need food, or we can't live B. often eating apples is a good habit C. taking extra vitamin pills is completely useless D. a good diet is of great importance for our health 44. From the passage we can draw a conclusion that if we want to keep healthy, we should ____. A. only eat an apple a day C. take as many vitamin pills as possible B. eat properly D. eat slowly and carefully
B Teenagers lead an exciting life in high school, making friends and dreaming about the future. However, as all young people know, teenagers have plenty of' worries too. Do you know what British teenagers worry about most? A survey by the UK's Department of' Health shows that the top worries are losing weight and fitting in (适应). Over 100，000 teenagers took part in the research. Losing weight is a big concern among teenagers. This may be an effect of famous people with perfect bodies around them. Adolescence is a physically and emotionally difficult time. Teenagers want to feel good about their bodies. It's also important for them to be accepted. Many teenagers were picked on (作弄) in high school. "Who should I eat lunch with?” "Who should l hang out with?" "Will I be accepted?" These questions are troubling many UK teenagers, according to the survey. It's interesting to see that family background has an effect on teenagers’ worries. Teenagers from low-income
families worried more about losing weight and bullying (欺凌弱小). Teenagers from higher income families were more likely to worry about fitting in and peer pressure (同辈压力). 45. According to the survey, British teenagers are most worried about ______. A. fitting in and making money C. losing weight and being accepted B. finding jobs and making friends D. making money and losing weight
46. Many teenagers are concerned about losing weight because______. A. they see thin famous people C. they don’t have much money B. they care a lot about health D. they face problems in life
47. The underlined word "adolescence" in the fourth paragraph means"_______". A.幼儿期 B. 青春期 C. 青年期 D.老年期
48. Suppose Jack is from a poor family, what do you think he may worry more about? A. Fitting in and losing weight. C. Losing weight and bullying B. Fitting in and peer pressure. D. Losing weight and peer pressure.
C I am an e-mail user. When I first started to use the e-mail system I used to read all my e-mail. I didn't have much mail. I gave my friends my e-mail address. Soon I had more mail than I wanted. Some of the mail was junk mail. I was worried. I didn't want my mail to control me. I've tried some methods to help me get control of my mail. First, I check my mail at the same time every day. Also I try to allow myself only 15-20 minutes every day to process my e-mail. This doesn't always work, but I try. Sometimes I save the messages. Sometimes I just read them, maybe answer a few, and then delete(删除) them. Sometimes I'm not at all interested in a message, so I don't even open it. I delete it right away. This is very much the way I go through the mail that the postal service delivers to my home. These methods are very simple. I have some friends who are very clever with computers. From time to time, they teach me new tricks for managing my e-mail. I'm still amazed at what e-mail can do for me! I'm still worried, however, about having too much to read.
49. The writer used to read all his e-mail because_______. A. he didn't have much mail C. he had nothing else to do B. he didn't know how to read mail D. he was forced to do that
50. Which of the following does NOT belong to the ways of the writer's dealing with his mail?
A. Saving the messages. C. Just reading some.
B. Deleting some. D. Passing some on to friends.
51. The underlined word "they" in the last paragraph refers to_____. A. messages B. friends C. computers D. methods
52. What's the purpose of the writer to write this passage? A. To share happiness in using mail with us. B. To share some worries in using mail with us. C. To share some methods of using computer with us. D. To persuade us out of using mail.

Today it is possible to get advice from radio shows, TV programmes and telephone hot lines, too. A hot line is a telephone line that offers a direct way of getting in touch with advisers. Most hot lines are completely anonymous -- callers do not have to say their names or telephone numbers. Most hot lines are usually free, too. Callers do not have to pay for the advice or the phone calls--even if the calls are long distance. At some hot lines, the advisers are volunteers. Other hot lines pay their advisers for their work. Usually the advisers are full-job people with years of education and experience, but sometimes, the advisers have only taken a short class before starting to work on the hot line. All the advisers listen to people and help them solve their problems. 58. Who did people get advice from in the past when they had problems? (回答字数不超过8个)

This afternoon, we held a theme class meeting. At 2 pm, with the “Start” order from the monitor, the whole classroom was flooded in an atmosphere of festivity, followed by the address of our beloved head teacher, Mr. Wang. In the address, Mr. Wang first recalled the days we spent together and then called on us to do every effort after graduation to make contributions to our
motherland. His address was interrupted by the applauses several times. Then, we fellow classmates simply couldn’t wait to rush to the front to speak. Many sang high praise to the teachers, saying they would never forget their unselfish care and fostering. One even wrote on the blackboard, “We are proud of our school today and our school will take pride in us in the future”. All students exchanged gifts with each other, some embracing together in tears. The meeting ended up with the chorus “Goodbye, our beloved school!”
