1. Market Environment
1.1 Huge market for vehicle sensors in China [1] The Annual Production value for automotive sensors is 6.4 billion dollars in 1998, and will increase to 13.3 billion dollars in 2008. Over the past 10 years, electronic components in automobile production cost increases every year, from 30% to 50%. North American Automotive Sensor OEM demand grows by an impressive 10% each year, has grown to 4.5 billion dollars on a larger scale in 2007. China's auto output is growing by 30% each year. Domestic auto market maintained a momentum of steady growth currently, automotive sensors have been integrated into a new structure that is designed for replacement needs. The general trend indicates, ECU increasingly concentrated; sensors are used more and more. Domestic EFI System sensor accounts for more than 70% of the total system, the cost for ABS sensor is about RMB 50, the domestic output is 1,000,000 units, the output value is RMB 50 million; Airbag sensors also account for more than 70% of the airbag system, price of airbag sensors are about RMB 2,000, the potential demand is 1,000,000 units each year. Subminiature, multifunctional, integrated and intelligent sensors will gradually replace traditional sensors, become the mainstream of automotive sensor.

1998 年汽车工业所需的传感器为 64 亿美元,到 2008 年将增加到 133 亿美元。过去的 10 年中,电子 元器件系统在汽车生产成本中所占的比重逐年增加, 已从 30%增加到 50%以上。北美轿车用传感器 OEM 需求以每年 10%的比例连续增长,至 2007 年已发展 到 45 亿美元的规模。

中国的汽车产值正以每年 30%的速度增长。 目前 国内汽车市场保持高速增长的势头,车用传感器以新 的结构设计来满足更新换代的需要。 总的趋势是 ECU 越来越集中,传感器越来越多。

国内电喷系统应用传感器占系统的 70%以上, ABS 传感器的成本为 50 元左右,2006 年国内产量为 100 万套,产值为 5000 万元;安全气囊的传感器占系 统成本的 70%以上,安全气囊的传感器售价为 2000 元左右,需求量为 100 万套/年。 微型化、多功能化、 集成化和智能化的传感器将逐步取代传统的传感器, 成为汽车传感器的主流。

1.2 The development of EGR System in China [2] A more stringent vehicle emission standard equivalent to the Euro III has been implemented on July 1, 2007 in China; meanwhile, Beijing adopted a standard equivalent to Europe IV to the light-duty diesel vehicles from January 1, 2007; in 2008, light petrol vehicles, light gas vehicles, heavy diesel vehicles will also be implemented to meet the IV emission standards. Currently, China's commercial vehicle diesel engine plant mostly adopt high-pressure common rail fuel injection systems such as Weichai, Daewoo, Dongfeng Cummins, FAW, Yuchai(All supplied by Bosch) to meet the emission standards III. As a more stringent vehicle emission standard, in addition to high-pressure injection systems (common rail, pump nozzles, pumps monomer), plant still need to include post-processing techniques, such as selective catalytic reduction (SCR) or exhaust gas recirculation (EGR)to meet the emission standards Ⅳ. Automobile exhaust gas is a non-combustible gas (excluding fuel and oxidizer), not participate in the combustion chamber. Exhaust gas recycle (EGR) system adjusts small amount of exhaust gas return to the intake manifold, and mix with combustible gas in combustion chamber to reduce combustion temperature and pressure to reduce the production of nitric oxide. Therefore, the exhaust gas recycle (EGR) system can effectively reduce the emissions of nitrogen oxide (NOX) excretion. Up to now, exhaust gas recycle system is widely used on electronic-controlled gasoline engines.

我国从 2007 年 7 月 1 日起,已在全国全面实施 国Ⅲ(相当于欧Ⅲ)排放标准。北京已于 2005 年 12 月 30 日实施国Ⅲ标准。同时北京从 2007 年 1 月 1 日 起,对轻型柴油车新车执行国Ⅳ(相当于欧Ⅳ)排放 标准,2008 年轻型汽油车,轻型燃气汽车、重型柴油 车将执行国Ⅳ排放标准。

目前,我国商用车柴油发动机厂大多采用高压共 轨燃油喷射系统如潍柴、大宇、东风康明斯、一汽锡 柴、玉柴等都采用博世公司高压共轨系统来满足国Ⅲ 排放标准,而要符合国Ⅳ排放标准除采用高压喷射系 统(共轨、泵喷嘴、单体泵)外,还需采用后处理技 术,如选择性催化还原(SCR)或废气再循环(EGR) 等。

汽车废气是一种不可燃气体(不含燃料和氧化 剂),在燃烧室内不参与燃烧。废气再循环(EGR)系统 通过使少量的废气进入进气歧管,与可燃混合气一起 进入燃烧室燃烧从而降低燃烧温度和压力,以减少氧 化氮的生成量。因此,废气再循环(EGR)系统可以有 效降低废气中的氧化氮(NOX)的排出量。

1.3 Overview of the Chinese EGR-System Market In order to dig out Chinese main EGR-System Suppliers at present, I searched official news from “State Environmental Protection Administration of CHINA (SEPA)” (www.zhb.gov.cn/info/gw/gg). I noticed that SEPA would promulgate “New type of vehicle and engine meet vehicle emission standards II&III” termly. Before 2007, We can dig out a lot of detailed information for most vehicles and engines in China (including the "EGR model/ production plant"). Due to the validity of information, I download the latest file before 2007 which is promulgated on December 19, 2006[3]. I deleted vehicles and engines without EGR-System, the following is vehicles and engines with EGR-system list:

(三) 主机厂采用 EGR 系统的情况分析 为从官方角度了解中国目前EGR系统应用在整 车和发动机上的情况,我登陆国家环境保护总局 (www.zhb.gov.cn/info/gw/gg)查询了从 2005 年 1 月 到最新的 2007 年 7 月 18 日发布的每一批的“达到国 家机动车排放标准的新机动车型和发动机型”,由于 从 2007 年开始,不再公布车型与发动机型的详细信 息(原包括“EGR型号/生产厂”一栏),我查询了该 局 2006 年 12 月 19 日发布的信息[3]。

从这一批次发布的 14 个名单中,除去未采用或 未列出 EGR 系统的车型与发动机型, 以下是采用 EGR 系统的车型与发动机型名单:

Overview:
1. Vehicles and engines with EGR-system are few in China up to the end of 2006, Most OEM and engine plants meet the exhaust gas emission standards through other means. 2. Due to Standards III is more stringent than Standards II, therefore, the adoption of EGR system for Standards III is larger. With the increasing attention to the environment, more stringent emission standards will be implemented in future. It will result in a fast growing EGR-System Market. 3. Most of the EGR system suppliers in the above list are Japanese manufacturers, of course, it is related to the background of OEM. Wuxi Longsheng is the only one domestic manufacturer, which means that at present most of the OEM and engine plants in China are inclined to adopt EGR system supplied by foreign manufacturers.

从以上的名单可以看出: 1. 截至 2006 年底, 中国采用 EGR 系统的车型 和发动机型仍然偏少, 多数整车厂和发动机 厂是通过其他的途径保证尾气的排放标准 符合国家标准。 2. 目前国内使汽车柴油发动机达到欧Ⅱ排放 标准的常用措施是采用增压中冷技术。 为达 到更加严格的欧Ⅲ及以上标准,就需采用 EGR 系统来进一步降低 NOX 排放。因此, 采用 EGR 系统的国三标准的车型与发动机 型远多于国二标准的型号。 未来随着对环境 的关注将导致对尾气排放标准的不断提高, 采用 EGR 的车型与发动机型将越来越多。 3. 多数的 EGR 系统由日本厂商提供,当然这 也与企业的背景有关。

而此次的全部的 EGR 生产厂中,国内厂商 仅有无锡隆盛一家,由此看出目前绝大多数国内 整车厂和发动机厂倾向于采用国外厂商生产的 EGR 系统。

2. Development Course
For a comprehensive understanding of China's EGR-system development, the following is some collected information: 2.1 Initial stage in August 2004, Jiangsu Jianghuai Engine Company Limited held a technical problems bidding for "Mechanical EGR used for non-road diesel emissions-reducing"[4]. According to the 2005 supplier list from "Shanghai Bus Group"[5], Shanghai-Lingqiang Company sold the production of GM EGR valve, the price is RMB 450. I contacted Mr.Qiu, he replied that the market has grown up, so the company has severed the agent relationship for GM. 2.2 Development stage The YC4F light diesel engine produced by Guangxi Yuchai firstly adopt emission recycling (EGR) technology in 2005, a new record in the domestic industry[6]. I contact Mr. Chen who released the information at that time, he introduced that the engine was fully developed by Yuchai, so it is a new record in the domestic automotive industry. In July 2006, "car exhaust gas recycle system (EGR valve) industrialized production" project was carried out by Yibin Tiangong Machinery Co., Ltd[7]. 2.3 Production stage In October 2006, the "exhaust gas recycle (EGR) cooler" project by Zhejiang Yinlun Machinery Co.,Ltd. was named as the dominant product of China’s Auto Parts development programs in future 5 years
[8]

二.发展历程
为全面了解中国 EGR 系统研发和生产的历程,以下 是我搜集到的一些信息:

(一)起步阶段 (1)2004 年 8 月,江苏江淮动力股份有限公司 就“用于非道路用柴机降排放的机械式EGR(废气再 循环)”进行技术难题招标[4],由于相关负责人已离 职,无法得到此项目的后续发展情况。但由此可知, 国内的EGR系统研发生产在 2004 年刚刚开始起步。 (2)由于EGR系统的核心部件是EGR阀,据“上 海巴士实业(集团)股份有限公司”2005 年的供应商 名单[5],由上海灵强实业公司代理的通用公司生产的 EGR阀单件报价为 450RMB。 我联系了该公司邱经理, 他表示因为目前国内的EGR阀已能自主生产,且为各 主机厂配套,市场已比较成熟,因此该司已不代理 EGR阀。 (二)发展阶段 (1)广西玉柴机器股份有限公司 2005 年YC4F 轻型柴油机采用行业领先的排放废气再循环(简称 EGR)技术,创国内行业新纪录[6]。我就此消息联系 信息发布方“广西企业联合会/广西企业家协会”的陈 先生,他表示“玉柴”的此款柴油机当时系完全自主 研发,因此创国内行业新记录。可见,国内的EGR系 统研发生产在 2005 年已经有了一定的发展。

(2)2006 年 7 月,中国科技部科技型中小企业 技术创新基金管理中心[7]发布的待验收项目中有宜宾 天工机械股份有限公司的“汽车废气再循环装置 (EGR阀)工业化生产”项目。 (三)生产阶段 (1)2006 年 10 月,浙江银轮机械股份有限公司 的“废气再循环(EGR)冷却器”项目被评为中国科技 部公布的“2006 年国家火炬计划环境建设项目”。同 时,该项目被列为列入国家发改委《中国汽车零部件 “十一五”专项发展规划》重点发展产品,为重点发展 EGR冷却器,该公司已于 2007 年 4 月 18 日在深圳证 券交易所上市[8]。

(5) 8 companies on the current electronic component supplier satisfaction is: 3 (Satisfied): 4 (Satisfied comparatively): 1 (Dissatisfied: Max Power) (6) Most companies believed that EVP suppliers should do some improvement on price and quality, three companies provided precise answers which suppliers should improve. (7) In the EVP field, as interviewees known, famous sensor blands are: BOSCH, SIEMENS, ANP, Delphi and some Japanese brands. (8) In the EGR field, as interviewees known, famous companies are: Zhejiang Yinlun, Wuxi Lonhsheng, Yibin Tiangong. (9) 7 companies need to purchase other sensors recently. (10) All the interviewees want to get more technology and products information about sensors. Zhejiang Yinlun wants to get products information for "(vacuum) EVP"; Max Power wants to get products information for " EVP on GM cars"; Guangdong Dahua Rensheng wants to get products information for "temperature sensors". 3.2 China's OEM & Engine Manufacture In the investigation, I found "Ningbo Shenglong" produce EGR valves without EVP for "Chongqin Qingling", As a OEM, Qingling purchase EVP themselves. Therefore, I telephone interviewd 7 OEM & Engine Manufactures and got 5 effective feedback. The list is as below:

EGR 系统供应商: (1) 个公司正在或即将为发动机厂商或主机厂配套 9 EGR 系统。 (2)其中有 8 个公司需要采购 EVP,采购进口品牌 与国产品牌的比例是 4:4。 (3) 个公司全部自己决定传感器的品牌并直接通过 8 厂商采购。 (4)4 个公司提供目前采购的 EVP 品牌,有 2 个采 用上海新跃产的 EVP,常州星璐从上海新跃采购的 EVP 报价是 45RMB/pcs。 (5) 个公司对当前的电子元件供应商的满意程度比 8 是 3(满意):4(基本满意):1(不满意:瑞安强 锐) (6)大多数公司认为 EVP 供应商需要在价格和质量 方面有进一步的改进,有 3 个公司提供了确切的供应 商需要改进的地方。 (7)在 EVP 领域,EGR 供应商比较了解的品牌有: BOSCH、SIEMENS、ANP、DELPHI 以及日本的一些 品牌。 (8)受访者对国内其他 EGR 系统供应商的了解基本 集中在:浙江银轮、无锡隆盛、宜宾天瑞达(宜宾天 工)。 (9)近期有采购其他传感器需求的有 7 个公司。 (10)所有受访者均希望获得更多的有关传感器的技 术与产品的资料。浙江银轮希望重点获得“(真空式) EVP”的资料;瑞安强锐希望重点获得“GM 汽车上 的 EVP”资料;广东大华仁盛希望能另外获得“温度 传感器”的资料。

(二)主机厂与发动机厂调查 由于调查中发现“宁波圣龙汽配有限公司”为“庆铃 汽车股份有限公司”生产 EGR 阀体而由庆铃自行采 购 EVP 组装 EGR 阀, 再加上受邓经理提到的关于 “云 内动力”自行研发 EGR 系统的启发,我电话访问了 7 家主机厂与发动机厂,(注:法雷奥因其规模被我定 性为主机厂,但遗憾的是,该公司未接受我的访问) 共得到有效回馈 5 份。名单如下:

From the above chart we can found that the current domestic OEM and engine Manufacture mainly purchase the whole EGR system, the relationship with suppliers is close, no EVP purchase intents at present, the market entry is difficult. However, when I interviewed Kunming Yunnei Power Co.,Ltd., the interviewee clearly confirmed they were developing EGR. Due to the interviewee came from R&D Center, so he couldn’t confirm the EVP purchase intent. This is handled by their sourcing department.

可以看到目前国内主机厂与发动机厂主要采购 EGR 系统, 而且与供应商的关系比较密切, 没有 EVP 采购 计划,市场进入难度大。但是,我在采访云内动力技 术部人员时, 对方明确表示出该公司有自己研发 EGR 系统并采购 EVP 的意向。
