The Manhattan Transcripts
By reading The Manhattan Transcripts by Bernard Tschumi, I think he's tr

Architecture is not about the conditions of design, but about the design of conditions that will reorganize many elements in the most liberating way. Architects not only design some forms of space, but create a multi-function public space for society. Architectural design is a knowledge of researching world rather than the one of forms. Sometimes we could learn about the world through architecture and space. There is no consequent relationship between space and events. Space just supplies a chance or possibility for events. Architecture and space will cause some movements and events because of numbers of feeling of different human bodies. Space couldn't rule bodies, but our movements can influence the quality of space. Movements define the space at some very moments. This characteristic is not expected or contemplated when architects draw plans for the site. How people use the architecture means the significance of architecture. We can't rule someone's movements strictly to follow the functions of this architecture. Simultaneously, architects may think too much for defining the organization and circulation of architecture or space. There are thousands of possibilities which we cannot clarify. Body is the key element for defining space. Movements and events become definition and boundary of space instead of the physical elements. Different people use the same space to do something different. Then, here comes a brand new meaning of limitation or definition. The event is the place where the rethinking and reformulation of the different elements of architecture.
