MXBSC Hardware MUX(MUltipleXer) is located in E1 shelf, it is the central board managing packing/unpacking E1 frame to/from Ethernet frames. LIU(Line Interface Unit) board is E1 access interface, it is multiplexing and de-multiplexing of 16 E1 to/from two MUX boards NE1oE(N E1Over Ethernet) NE1oE in an Alcatel-internal protocol is designed to encapsulate TDM frame into Ethernet frame to be transferred through internal Ethernet network. It is used to communicate between Mux and TP. It is implemented in a dedicated FPGA chip present on both boards

MXBSC Hardware CCP(Call Control Processing) The CCP is in charge of the telecom control of the MxBSC. This is a general purpose processing board based on ATCA technology. OMCP(O&M Control Processing) The OMCP is a variant of CCP board equipped with large capacity storage (in a disk). It is in charge of the O&M control and partial telecom (TCH_RM) functions.
