张蓓学习计划每天分享 ext 3 M:I received your message this morning. W:What? Text 4 M:Mary, you can't go out tonight. W:Can I ask Nancy for dinner? M:OK, you can ask Nancy, but you can't go out. Text 5 M:I can come to your house in half an hour, is that all right? W:Good. That means you'll be here at eight thirty. Text 6 W:Do you like your new roommate? M:Yes, he's a nice boy, but he listens to music. W:What kind? M:Rock. W:Ugh! Does he play it a lot? M:No, but when he plays it, he plays it really loud. W:Too bad. Well, does he keep everything clean? M:Oh, yeah. That's no problem. Text 7 W:Excuse me, waiter, but I think there is something in my soup. M:What's wrong? W:Well, I think I saw a fly or something. Could you please bring me another bowl? M:Oh, I'm very sorry. I'll get you another bowl. W:Thank you. M:Here you are, a fresh bowl of soup. W:Thanks a lot. M:I'm very sorry this happened. I won't charge you for the soup today. W:That's great. I can use a free lunch. Text 8 M:Barbara, has the form been typed yet? W:No, not yet. M:I need it soon you know. It has to be finished today. What's the problem? W:I'm sorry. Mr. Green, but the machine is out of order. M:Again. Has anything been done about it? W:Yes. Jane called the company. And it is being repaired by one of the service men. M:Did he say how long it would take to fix it? W:Not very long. It would be ready for use this afternoon. M:All right. By the way, were those letters mailed? W:Yes. I mailed them myself this morning.

M: Good. Well, I'd better go over to Lenovo Company to give a speech this afternoon. Text 9 W:Come on, Brad. Sit down. This is my favourite place. I hope you like it. M:Me, too. W:OK, what should we order? What about spring rolls? M:Spring rolls? I've never heard of those before. But you can order them if you want. W:Oh, well, how about soup? We could get ... hot and sour soup. It's my favourite. M:Well, I've never tried that before. But you can go ahead. W:OK. How about dumplings? You'll love them. M:I don't think so. W:Well, you have to eat something, Brad. Is there anything on this menu that you do want to try? M:Do you think they have French fries? W:Brad! This is a Chinese restaurant. M:Well, I told you I just wanted a hamburger and fries. W:All right, you win. Let's go and find another place. Text 10 Many young Americans do not live with their families, but in apartment blocks where everyone is more or less of the same age. Young people often move away from their home into shared apartments when they leave school. They do their own cooking and cleaning and go to the family home occasionally for the weekend. Young married couples may move to new places where most people have young children. When they have more money, they may move to another place, where the houses are bigger. Senior citizens often do not live with their grown-up children. Many live in homes for the elderly. Some live in special communities built for them, where there are no young children and the atmosphere is quiet. 第二部分 阅读理解(共两节,满分 40 分) 第一节 (共 15 题;每小题 2 分,满分 30 分) 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的四个选项(A、B、C 和 D)中,选出最佳选项。 A An upper class British lady once declared: "Anyone_seen_on_a_bus_after_the_age_of_30_has_been_a_failure_in_life."This may sound arrogant (傲慢) and ignorant. Unfortunately, there are still people thinking that way. Some wealthy folk in the West look down on buses and boast about how many years it has been since they last travelled by one. How sad is that? Our roads are packed with cars and the air is full of the pollution they emit. But still, many car users are unwillingly to get on a bus or a bike or a train to take themselves to work. It's convenient to drive, they'll say. Buses are so unreliable, they'll claim. And trains are expensive - at least in the UK. It's an attitude which may have to change. It doesn't make sense to drive a car in a city where there's a public transport system. Also, these rush hour commuters (往返上 班者) usually travel alone. As a result, transport authorities in the UK are looking at solutions to city

center congestion ( 拥 堵 ). One is to increase the number of parking spaces at out-of-town railway stations. More motorists can then leave their cars and travel into the city by train. Light rail or tramways are another environmentally friendly solution. Many cities across Europe have had light rail or tramway systems. The subway in London is used by everyone, rich and poor. It's the quickest way of getting around the city, whatever your bank balance. And then there are the cycle hire plans you find in many modern cities. In London and Paris, you can hire a bike by the hour to get you where you need to go. Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, is often pict 张蓓学习计划包含六个层面:时间,方法,工具,目标,监督,内容,六者相互融合上面是 内容部分
