Southern Yellow Pine 黄松


Southern Yellow Pine 黄松(杉) Southern Yellow Pine (SYP) doesn't refer to any one species of tree, but rather a group of species which are classified as yellow pine (as opposed to white pine), and are native to the Southern United States and South American. They grow very well in the acidic red clay soil found in most of the region. The varieties include Loblolly, Long leaf, Shortl eaf, and Slash pines. Southern Pine consists of four main species — short leaf, longl eaf, loblolly, and slash — and is the preferred choice for today's design/build professionals. Some facts appearance of SYP: heartwood (pale yellow-brown), Sapwood (wide and not always clearly distinguishable),Texture(fine but uneven), SYP could usually be straight except for a central core of about 100mm in diameter
