(一) My summer travel started terribly. I was at the Shanghai Railway Station buy a ticket to Hangzhou. I was going to visit a friend here and after that I would go to Xiamen for long holiday. I bought my ticket but turned around to pick up my bag from the floor and then I realized that someone had stolen it. Luckily I had all my money on my pocket, but the only clothes I had was those I had on. It felt very strange to travel without any luggages. When I finally arrived at my friend he lent to me lots of clothes. I feel very happy that I could change my clothes at last. (二) Last Sunday morning, when I was having a walk in the park near my home, I came across a crew make a new film with one of my favourite actor. I didn't have my camera with me at that time, but I rushed back home to get. Unfortunately, by the time I got back, they have finished the scene and the actor couldn't be seen everywhere. I was really disappointing and about to leave when he walked out a building. He was right there in the front of me! I couldn't believe my luck—not only did I had my photo taken with him, but he signed his name on my shirt! (三)

I was playing at my cousin house. Since his family was rich than mine, he had more toys than I did. There was one on particular I'd always wanted. I put into my pocket when he wasn't looking. I guessed, even at that age, I would never be able to enjoy to playing with the toy or faced my cousin again; I would always know I'd done something wrong. Late on, my aunt drove me home. (四) I have been planning to join in our college basketball team the next year. Now I'm spending as more time as I can with other people who likes to play. They are teaching themselves the most important rule and techniques of the game, and I am getting better all the time. We have a neighborhood team that plays against other teams in the area. One of my neighbors is helping rest of us improved our skills. Tonight we are playing for one of the best teams in the city, and I think we can beat them if we won't make any mistakes.

(七) After shopping, Mother and I went to a restaurant for lunch. I notice Mother looking at a nearby table occupy by an elderly woman and young couple. They ate silently,and it was clearly that things were not going well. As we left, Mother stopped on their table.“Excuse me.”she said,put her arm around the unhappy old woman. “You remind me so many of my mother. May I hug(拥抱) you?” The woman smiled happily as she accepted to it. After we left,I said,“That was very nice of you, Mother. So I didn't think she looked like Grandma.”“Neither did me.”said Mother cheerfully. (八)

Christine was just a girl in one of my classes. I never knew much about her except for that she was strange. She didn't talk many. Her hair was black and purple,and she worn black sports shoes and a black sweater, although in summer. She was, in fact, rather attractively,and she never seemed care what the rest of us thought about her. Like the rest of my classmate, I didn't really want to get closest to her. It was only when we did their chemistry project together that I begin to understand why Christine dressed the way she did.

But even if every large city purified and reused it's water, we still would have enough water. (十) As the College Entrance Examination is drawing nearby, some students would rather expect good luck than to make every effort to study. They think success results good luck. Whether they can be admitted to key universities depend on luck. However, others insist that diligence(勤奋) is a mother of success. Only by working hard can they achieve what they want. Since they fail sometimes, they don't give up,for they believe that success lies in our own hands. As for me,I'm in favor of the latter opinion. Luck doesn't come alone. It goes hand by hand with hard working. Sometimes, some students are lucky enough to succeed, but such luck won't last long because it is not basing on their own abilities. (十一) One rainy day while I was walking home with one of my friend, a truck came to a stop besides us.The driver put the window down and offered us a umbrella because he found we were wet through.I stood there and couldn't believe in that a complete stranger is so thoughtful.The man insisted,so I grateful accepted the offer,thanked him and watched the truck disappear down the road.This man might need the umbrella himself, and he preferred to give it to everyone else.It was a lesson to us that it was possible give without expect anything in return.
