opinion is what someone believes is true but has not been proved. 3. What is an evidence? An evidence is true information which must be facts rather than opinions.
Work in pairs and decide whether the following sentences are facts or opinions. Give your reasons. Note that a fact can be checked,
but an opinion cannot. 1. A VW Passat can go faster than 100 kms an hour. 2. I think it’s the best car for a family. 3. I think driving a car is wrong because it causes damage to the environment. 4. I don’t like public transport because it’s so crowded. 5. More countries than ever before will be coming to take part in the Olympic Games. 6.
