opportunities for learning and using the language.
IV Teaching Ideas
Based on the teaching concepts and socio-constructivist theory,I adopt the guided discovery method to teach students.In this method students are induced to discovery rules by
themselves,and the process of the discovery is carefully guided and assisted by the teacher and the rules are then elicited and taught explicitly.First,I will ask them a question to lead in the grammar.Second,I will let them find the -ing forms in the text and try to illustrate the functions of these -ing form in order to develop the ability of induction.Third,I will introduce the grammar--the -ing form as the Attribute and Adverbial,and I will analyze function of the -ing form as the Attribute as well as give some examples to let them understand the grammar.And then,I will analyze the function of the -ing form as the Adverbial,also I will give some examples to help them understand.Fifth,I will let them to try to tell me the function of these -ing form in the text and do some other exercise in order to know whether they have understood the grammar in this class or not.Finally,I will do a summary about what we have learned in this class and tell them what should they pay attention to.

Teaching key points:Students should know how to use the -ing
form properly when produce sentences. Teaching difficulties:students can distinguish the Attribute and Adverbial in a context which has -ing form.

Step1 Lead in(5 minutes) In this part,I will say hello to my students and ask them a question to lead in my grammar--the -ing form --what were you
doing during this time yesterday? Words: T:Hello,boys and girls,how are you today? S:Good,Not bad,Wonderful. T:OK,by the way,what are you doing just now? S:Doing homework.Listening the music. Step 2:Finding -ing form In this part, I will let students find the -ing form in the text,and try to illustrate the functions of these -ing form by the Chinese grammars they have known in order to develop the ability of induction. The -ing forms: Representing,waiting,looking,appearing,smiling,dashing Step3:Analyzing the -ing form as the Attribute In this part,I will carefully analyze the -ing form as the Attribute as well as give some examples to let them understand the grammar. 当动词-ing 单独作定语时，放在所修饰的名词前；若是动词 -ing 短语作定语则放在名词后。 In the following years he worked even harder. 在后来的几年中，他学习更努力了。 The man speaking to the teacher is our monitor ’s father.
