What do people eat in China/Japan/England/America? Do you think ...is very popular in China?

? Catch some important phrases and sentenses(knowledge point) ? Put knowledge into practice, make a dialogue in different occasions(ability point) ? Have successful feeling and achievement in English learning(emotional point)

Pre-reading
? The teacher makes the ppt and prepares the tap record ,paper ? The students preview the new words and text ? Whole class work. Disscuss these questions:
What's your favourite food ? Do you like fast food ? Can you say the names of some kinds of food? Do you know what food is the most popular in the world? Do you know some kinds of food in different countries?

Teaching procedures
? Step1 Leading in,ask one question and volunteer to answer it ? Step2 Listen to the tap,read the article
? Step3 Make a survey, role play in the classroom ? Step4 Homework

step1:
? Leading in what do people eat for breakfast?Give instructions and ask students to answer the question

step2:
? Listen to the tape and then teach them how to read the words and expressions ? Read the article and then answer the following questions then check the answers ? Pair work. Discuss what people eat in China/America/England/Japan and the role play in front of the class ? Make a conclusion on the blackboard and classify the different kinds of food

step3:
? Group work . Make a survey about what your partners favourite food with name,food and the reason ? Ask some students to show their surveys ? Whole class work. Ask students to think about the traditional food and the fast food in daily life ? Play a game. Ask one student to stand up and to describe a kind of let others guess it ? Pair work. Discuss with the question “do you think...is very popular in China?” and “...is good for your health.Do you agree?” Volunteers to present their discussion
