Teacher ask a student to share his/her trip at the beginning of the class, then ask students to list some transportations. T: Can you list some transports we can use when we travel? 2). Show some pictures to students. Ask students to name the transports. T: There are some pictures of transports. Can you name the following transports ？
Step 2 Presentation 1) let’s see those transport—when we can use them. Look at Page 21, Excise 2, there are 5 questions. Group work, and answer it! Fill in the form on the backboard.

2) Give the students some phrases, then let them think about the differences between get on/get off and get into/ get out of , drive and ride. get on & get into a. Get into a taxi / get into a helicopter drive & ride a. drive a car / drive a bus b. ride a bicycle / ride a horse drive :four or more wheels vehicles ride: two wheel vehicles or something can straddle get on: get on board of big vehicles get into: small vehicles
3) Match the verbs(get on/off, get into/out of, ride, drive, take off/land )with the transport.
Step 3 Practice Let students describe their first long-distance travel. For example: I first traveled a long distance by train when I was six years old. I went with my parents from Shanghai to Beijing.
Step 4 Production T: Discuss your first travel with your partner. Then make a conversation according to your discussion. You can use these sentences when you make a conversation.

How old were you? Where did you go? How did you travel? Whom did you go with? What was your feeling? What was your unforgettable experience? ......
