宾语从句就是由一个句子来构成主句的宾语

宾语从句的概念 在句子中起宾语作用的从句叫做宾语从句。 We know Mr Green teaches English. She asked if these answers were right.

二、宾语从句三要素 : 连 接 词

3.由连接代词 who, whom, whose, which, what 和连接副词 where, how, why, when 引导的宾语从句

宾语从句的时态取决于主句的时态 主句使用现在时,从句可使用任何时态;主 句使用一般过去时,从句除表示“真理”可 使用现在时态外,一律使用过去时态。

2.在句子前加上从属连词 whether, if 变化方法: 主句 + if / whether + 一般疑问句。 该一般疑问句要变为陈述句形式。
if/whether 引导宾语从句 ,表示“是否”之义 , 在句中不充当句子成份, if/whether可互换。

把下列各句变为宾语从句 1. Is Jim at home? (I wonder…) I wonder whether / if Jim is at home. 2. Is June a good time to visit Hong Kong? ( He wonders…) He wonders whether/ if June is a good time to visit Hong Kong.

把下列各句变为宾语从句 3. Does he like sports? ( Do you know…) Do you know whether he likes sports? 4. Will they play basketball after school? ( He asks…) He asks whether they will play basketball after school.

改为含宾语从句的复合句 1. Will the train arrive on time? I want to know. / whether the train will arrive I want to knowif _______ ______ on time. 2. Did Peter come here yesterday? Li Lei wants to know. / whether Peter Li Lei wants to knowif _________ came _________ here yesterday.

3当宾语从句是特殊疑问句时,连接词就用原 来的疑问词,但从句一定要注意用陈述语序 。 ? When did he leave forJapan ?could you tell me? ? =could you tell me when he left for Japan?

把下列各句变为宾语从句 1. Where is Jim ? (I wonder…) I wonder where Jim is. 2. When will the train leave? ( He wonders…) He wonders when the train will leave.

四、宾语从句的否定转移: ?如果主句的谓语动词是 think, believe, guess , suppose 等, 而且主句的主语又是第一人称时 ,它后面接的宾语从句的否定词 通常要前移到主句中,即否定主 句中的动词,而从句用肯定形式 . ?即:主语为第一人称,否定在主 句,翻译在从句。

1. wonder v. 想知道
I wonder if he's eating well every day. 我想知道他是不是每天都吃得好。 I wonder what they call those flowers. 不知道那些花儿叫什么。 I wonder whether they will arrive on time. 我不知道他们能不能准时到。

I wonder ..., I don't know ... 这两个短语都 可译成“不知道”。其区别是: I wonder ...作“不知道”解时, 其中含有 “想知道”的意思; I don't know只是用来 陈述对某事“不知道”这一事实。例如: I wonder what you call this. 不知道你们把这个叫做什么。 --- Do you know what they call this? 你知道他们把这个叫做什么吗? --- I don't know. 我不知道。

wonder n. 惊奇;惊愕;奇迹 There was a look of wonder in his eyes. 他眼中露出惊奇的神色。 They were filled with wonder at the new waterfall. 他们对新瀑布感到非常惊奇。 It's a wonder that the child came through without a scratch. 这孩子竟能安然无恙地脱险,真是奇迹。
