Before their arrival, Native American people had lived there for thousands of years. People from all over the world are still coming to settle in California because of its good climate and the lifestyle it offers.

一、说课标:
? 在英语教学中落实新课程标准,具体到英 语学科就是要整合发展学生语言知识、语 言技能、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识 五个方面的素养,培养学生综合运用语言 的能力。因此,本课的设计重点是:帮助 学生形成自主、合作的学习模式,强化阅 读技巧,让每个学生在原有的基础上都学 有所得。

指导思想及理论依据: 1.依据新课程标准,打造以“学生为主体,教 师为主导,活动为中心”的高质高效课堂。 2.依据美国学者埃德尔戴尔(Edgar Dake) 1946 提出的“学习金字塔”理论(Learning Pyramid)

二、说教材:
? (一)教材分析: ? 本单元主要围绕了具有多元文化的美国这一主题展 开,其中重点介绍了加利福尼亚州的多元文化特征。 有助于培养学生跨文化交际意识,进一步拓宽视野, 为终身学习奠定良好的基础。 ? 学习加利福尼亚州的简介,使学生对美国的文明史 略见一斑;通过阅读美国的民族文化,使学生对美 国有全方位的认识,掌握有关美国的历史、地理、 文化、民族等方面的词汇;学会运用名词性从句等 语法知识,并通过相关练习,提高学生的语言运用 能力;本节课主要训练学生的阅读技巧,提高阅读 能力,让学生通过对加州历史的学习,了解美国的 多元文化特征。

? (二)学习目标: ? 1、知识与技能 ? 通过了解美国的多元文化特征,培养学生跨 文化交际意识;通过对加州移民的深入了解, 使学生认识到“美国是民族的熔炉”;掌握 本单元学习目标和要求中词汇的用法;通过 略读详读等方式提升学生阅读能力 ? 2、过程与方法 ? 通过图片展示,通过头脑风暴等方式搜索美 国相关信息;通过查读,仔细阅读等方式找 到相关有用信息 ? 3、情感态度与价值观 ? 通过课前查阅资料,预习让学生学会自主学 习;课堂引入竞争机制让学生积极主动参与

(三)学习重点和难点: 1.重点 1) 通过对加州历史的学习,了解美国的多元文化特征 2)训练学生的阅读技巧,提高阅读能力。侧重培养 对文章的整体性结构的把握和挖掘作者写作的意图, 突出培养以下3个方面的能力: ? a.对文章段落中心词的把握能力。 ? b.根据主题快速捕捉文章重点细节的能力。 c.总结归纳能力。 2.难点 1)理解加州多元文化形成的原因。 2)养成科学阅读习惯,提高阅读理解能力和语言水平 3)会提取、筛选和重组文章中的信息,并灵活运用于 语言实践中,达到语言实践能力的扩展与提高。

三、说学情:
? 1.学生是县级中学高二理科平行班学生; ? 2.学生已经学习了四五年的英语,有一定英语基 础; ? 3.学生对美国的地理历史等知识有一定了解; ? 4.学生思维活跃,善于和同学交流,乐于表达自 己,渴望得到同学和教师的点赞; ? 5.学生对英语学习兴趣不太高,英语的听读能力 还有待加强; ? 6.学生对于美国详细的一些常识了解不给力。

四、说模式:

本课的模式“学、导、练”。学生先自主学习,老师通 过导学案了解学生的学习情况。再通过老师的引导,学 生合作学习,讨论,展示,点评,质疑,突破学习目标。 最后再巩固练习。以“先学后教、以学定教,学、做、 教互动”为指导,构建高质高效课堂教学模式。 学法运用: ? 1.探究引导策略:探讨式学习;教师启发引导。 ? 2.自主合作探究式学习策略:建立小组讨论、交流、合 作的课堂氛围,即生生互动。 ? 3.自主听读策略:学生通过自主听读拓展材料,在完成 课标要求的基础上训练听说能力,积累和丰富英语词汇 和句式。 ? 4.竞争激趣策略:通过学生的组组间的竞争激发兴趣。

教法渗透: 1.任务型语言教学法(Task-based Language Teaching) ? 分解任务,“做中学”、“学中做”。 2.直观法(视听教学法): ? 用多媒体,引起兴趣,降低难度,突破重难点。 3.合作学习教学法(Cooperative Learning Approach): 师生互动 4.整体语言教学法(Whole Language Teaching): ? 采用“P—T—P”自主学习立体模式(Pre-task---Task-cycle----Post-task)来组织教学。
