本单元以世界性的体育盛会──Olympic games 为话题，旨在通过本单元的教 学，使学生了解奥运会的基本知识，包括奥运会的起源、宗旨、比赛项目以及古 现代奥运会的异同， 其目的是培养学生对体育运动的爱好，增强学生的爱国主义 意识，并以此拓展学生的国际视野。
